The Michael Chekhov Acting Technique opens doors to our imagination while giving us solid craft for doing our work as actors. We will be applying the tools designed for character development and concepts that enable us to make our solo scenes dynamic, vibrant, ‘little works of art.’
Prepare your monologue, exploring and trying things with the tools of the Chekhov Technique, and test your performance as a preparation to making a self -tape or acting before a live theatre audience.

A Creative Journey with the Michael Chekhov Acting Technique
Do we have a tale that needs to be told today? Let’s find out!
Train in the Michael Chekhov Acting Technique and put it in practice in a creative process of imagination, movement, improvisation, and formation. The training will include preparing the Actor’s Body and the Psychological Gesture. Working with Chekhov's tools, we will envision and inhabit characters, exploring their world, their struggles, and discovering their unique tale.
This intensive workshop is for actors, theatre directors, and theatre teachers who are new to the Chekhov Technique as well as those continuing their Chekhov training.
Certificate of Completion will be available for professional development purposes.

Acting with atmospheres

Take your acting (and yourself) to new places in this two day immersion into the realm of your imagination. Expand your intuitive, impulsive, sensing ability. We will explore this special tool of the Chekhov Acting Technique - atmosphere.
Chekhov has said that atmosphere is the soul of the theatre. It is a way for the actor to create the 'where' of the scene and feel the impact of our imagination. Acting with atmospheres enables the actor to enter fully into the realm of the play.
We will explore many different atmospheres, transporting ourselves to different worlds, and see how we can utilize playing with atmospheres to support our work in rehearsal and performance, whether we are working in a show, a film, or on our own as we prepare auditions and self-tapes.
Be ready to move, imagine, improvise, and be transported!
